11/7/2009 Medical coverage for day care centers - Markel Insurance is cited on Own a Day Care Blog for its specialization in insurance for daycare centers. Individual and group accident insurance that covers the children can provide protection to the daycare business, according to a Markel Insurance spokesman quoted in the article, and Basic Health insurance is an affordable health insurance coverage for the employees that covers their most pressing medical needs.

1/7/2009 Basic Health Insurance issued by Markel Insurance Company led all other online health insurance enrollments here for the first week of 2010. This is the first time this occurred in Freedom Benefits' history and may be viewed as a negative indicator of consumers' ability or willingness to pay for health insurance. Basic Health Insurance provides a much lower level of coverage than traditional major medical insurance.
